Kevin E. Ness
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSW, LCSW
I have 25+ years of experience working with individuals, families and couples from 12-years-old on up through the lifespan. I partner with them and guide them on their journey to tap into their ability to overcome significant difficulties and trauma from the past that are impacting current functioning, including abuse (physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, spiritual) and neglect. I firmly believe that identity (who you are) and behavior (what you do, say and believe) are two distinct things. Your behavior does not determine your identity. I help my clients to discover potential stuck points that may unintentionally be contributing to their current difficulties, to help them to free up these stuck points, in order to bring about true and lasting change.
I am an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist and Syzygy Institute Level 3 trained in IFS-informed EMDR. In addition, I have been trained in TF-CBT and Motivational Interviewing. I specialize in helping people work through PTSD, complex trauma, addictions issues, sexual abuse and perpetration, anxiety, depression, ADHD and relational difficulties, among others.

For those who so desire, I specialize in integration of Christian faith into sessions, in a manner that is comfortable for clients at any stage in their faith walk. I believe that as long as you have breath and a pulse, then healing, redemption, forgiveness, growth, maturity, hope and change are absolutely real possibilities for those open to them.
