Allyson Willhite

While I accept all age clients, I specialize with children under 13 struggling to thrive for any number of reasons. I have a wide breadth of experience working with youth and families, especially ones impacted by family separation, parental substance use, and youth with Autism/ADHD.

I heavily utilize TBRI and trauma informed care, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and play based therapies. Behavior is a form of communication, and I focus on the roots of behavior using TBRI’s core principles of Empowering, Connecting, and Correcting.

As a Christian, my faith and relationship with Jesus is at the heart of why I do what I do. I seek to view every person as made in the image of God and help them understand their value. When our worth is not earned, we can more easily own our mistakes and take full ownership of our choices. My client intake form asks whether you prefer faith to be included in sessions or not, and I will fully respect either choice.

At Hope Wellness Center, I'm currently employed by Heath Fervida PC, and am supervised by Heath Fervida and Ryan Peachey. Additionally, I also direct the Youth Camp Mariposa program for Oaklawn Psychiatric Center, which serves children impacted by a parent’s substance use disorder. Please note this occasionally impacts my availability.

I look forward to working with you and your family!
